With a name like Christopher Frost Shelley,
how could I be anything but a writer?
I have been a writer ever since I
was a child growing
up in Boston, Massachusetts. And although I took an extroverted detour
on stage, earning a BFA in Acting from Boston University and later
living the
actor's life in New York City, the written word remains my passion. I
earned an MFA in Creative Writing
(Fiction) from New York University, and my work is represented by Dystel
& Goderich Literary Management.
I first became interested in officiating while attending one of my friend's weddings. I now wonder why it took me so many years to find the thing I have been meant to do all of my life. Officiating weddings calls upon my writing skills, my theater skills, my business skills, and my people skills. I enjoy helping couples orchestrate the ceremonial aspect of the happiest day of their life. I enjoy coaxing the details of love stories from the minds and the lips of the couples whom I am fortunate enough to call clients. I enjoy helping them find the best words for their best day.
I have been a Wall street lackey, toiling at the famous Goldman Sachs. I am a graduate of the Swedish Institute, and most recently I have turned entrepreneur, running a professional massage therapy businesses with my wife. Massage Artists is our team of massaging all-stars. So yes -- not only can I marry you, but I can offer you a couples massage too. You can even get married while having a couples massage! It's up to you! Imagine being serenely relaxed at the very moment of your nuptials!
In the spring of 2012, I became a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant as a graduate of the Celebrant Foundation & Institute, with a specialization in Weddings. Celebrants are the luxury sedans of ceremony creation, as we dream, imagine, think and create outside the traditional ceremony box. Celebrants are well-schooled in the art of ceremony creation, passionate about giving voice to deep-seeded dreams of our clients, and skilled with wordsmithery that can turn your ceremony into an event of the heart so meaningful and filled with love that you and your guests will remember it forever. Our goal as Celebrants is to change the world for the better, one ceremony at a time.
