Personal Vow Tutor
Personal wedding vows can make a good ceremony great. They can be the most emotionally charged and engaging moment of the night. The best ones are a mix of heavy and light.
Writing your own wedding vows can be tough, especially if you're not a writer. Heck, they're tough even if you are a writer. How can you possibly say something wonderful to your partner and make meaningful promises to that person when you have an infinite number of things you could say? If only there was some kind of vow generator, or vow writing service, or wedding professional with tons of experience writing vows who could help me.
For ten years, I have helped couples write and re-write their personal vows. I have a good idea of how long they should be and what shape seems to work best. I know some listing gambits you can employ to make them full, rich, entertaining, sweet, teasing, heartfelt, funny, moving, to the point, away from the point. In my book, Best. Ceremony. Ever., there is a whole vow-writing workshop, which means you should take a moment, buy my book, then come back to this page.
Welcome back. Where was I? Oh right. Couples fall into one of two camps when it comes to vows.
1) CAMP TIMES SQUARE: Some people have written out a draft of their vows, but that draft needs help. Their vows need rearranging, punching-up and streamlining. They have too much going on -- like Times Square.
2) CAMP TUMBLEWEED: These folks...have no idea. When it comes to vows, the inside of their mind resembles a ghost town. They need a muse, someone to coax ideas and thoughts from their languid brains, onto a page, and into some kind of order. The ideas may be out there but it's going to take a word seance to figure out what they are.
I'm really good at this. I love working on vows - for me, it's a rewarding little puzzle.

Just Take a Look: $50
If you just want me to take a quick look at your vows so far and get some thoughts to you, that's fine. Sometimes it's reassuring to have a second set of eyes look something over.
Edit and Punch-Up Only (for the CAMP TIMES SQUARE crowd): $300 per half a couple, $450 per entire couple.
Create and Punch-Up: (for the CAMP TUMBLEWEED crowd): $500 for half a couple, $750 per entire couple. I can interview you over video or phone, have you fill out a questionnaire, whatever is easier for you. Then I write some vows for you. We revise them as needed. I can even coach you on delivery.
